Going back to your Pip-Boy and switching it to another tab - Quests, or Notes, or whatever - seems to fix it. Click "File" tab and in the "Show/Hide" pane make sure you have two boxes checked, "Hidden Items" and "File name extension".ĮDIT 2: Knowing the specific. Menu issues are often a result of closing the Pip-Boy screen while it's set to the map - basically, your cursor seems to think it's still pointed at the map, and can't click on anything else. Ok try this (Windows 8.1) Open your Game folder and make sure you have the menubar visible. If you've made custom edits to any GAME files, I'd make a backup of those or be prepared to do it all over again.Įdit: Probably should have kept reading your post before reading suggestions. Steam will go off and check all your game files and replace any corrupted, missing, or modified GAME files. Then select the "Local Files" tab and the last button should be "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE.", click that. Right click on the game in Steam Library and click Properties. deleting the falloutnv folder in MyGames and verifying the game cache so it would maybe download the INI: It redownloaded the folder but it is now missing BOTH the fallout_default.ini and the fallout.ini, verifying again doesn't do anything putting that dll file in the install directory thats supposed to fix both fallout 3 as well as nv checking out the directory where the INI should be (documents/MyGames/falloutnv): I have found that I was missing the fallout_default.ini -> I got the file from the internet and put it there, it still didn't work verifying the game cache (multiple times) I tried verifying the game and it hasn't changed anything. The only way I can get around it is by moving the world map around. This was made intentionally to prevent leaving conversations that you won't be able to normally get back into. You can't leave conversations if your movement controls are disabled before entering them. You can change to your preferred key by typing: Set ExitConvKey To DirectX Scancode Number (Default is 257) To leave a dialogue conversation simply click the right mouse button. This is similar to how it works in Fallout 4 and Skyrim.
